Conducted in 2003, 2007 and 2012, the NBDB Readership Survey is the most comprehensive study on the reading habits of Filipino adults.
88% or a Total of 49.2 Million Filipino Adults Read
Though there might be a slight decline in the number of Filipino adult readers in the country (94% in 2003, 92% in 2007 and 88% in 2012), there still exists an enormous market in the Philippines for producers of all sorts of reading materials. These are the results of the nationwide survey conducted by the Social Weather Stations, (SWS) in May of this year commissioned by the National Book Development
Board (NBDB), in partnership with the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL) and Vibal Foundation.
